In this unit you will learn about what exactly consumerism is, how it impacts your daily life, and what kinds of things might make you a smarter, happier consumer.

The unit is designed enhance the learners understanding about how economic systems impact our quality of life. Through the economics system of Canada today, consumerism has become one of its building blocks. The process is intended to prompt students to think about consumerism and the messages they are bombarded with from the various media sources they are exposed to countless times every day.
